Owners, Stan Edmund Sewell and Kenneth Craig Johnson, are long-time residents of the city.  Stan grew up in Jacksboro, one of three children of a ranching family.  He moved to Fort Worth when he began attending TCU.  Stan has been a successful entrepreneur and banker, but has always been a collector of fine art.  In 1998, Stan and Kenn decided to combine Stan's business finesse and Kenn's artistic talent to create one of the city's outstanding galleries.

Kenn Johnson, artistic director, grew up in the Wichita Falls area.  He always had an avid interest in art and began drawing at an early age.  His interest grew when he married into an prominent family of artists.  He spent much of his time in Santa Fe and his tastes in fine art reflects a Southwestern influence.  Kenn's resume includes working at Gerald Peters Gallery and the Carol Henderson Gallery.  He curated a highly successful show for the Museum of Art of the American West, located in Houston.  Kenn has also assembled a corporate collection of some 70 pieces for Peat Marwick of San Antonio.

Kenn has worked collaboratively with designers for over 20 years.  His intuitive sense for color, scale and tasteful design is exceptional. Ken also works with the trade by appointment and will consult with you and your clients at their location.
